Police have seized a number of scramblers in the East Antrim area in recent months.

In January, the owner of a scrambler fled from officers at North Road.

They were alerted to the vehicle when the rider experienced difficulties getting the machine started.

The owner was warned that he would be questioned about motoring offences when he arrived to claim it.

Police have stated that the illegal use of scramblers, “mini motos” and pit bikes on public land, roads and footpaths has been “causing a lot of concern” in the Carrick and Larne area.
