Police are appealing for information following an incident in the Greenisland area on Saturday, March 26.

Constable Julie McVeagh said: “At around 4pm, a police patrol signalled for a black Ford Mondeo, travelling on the Station Road in Greenisland, to stop.

“The car made off from police and was subsequently abandoned at Longfield Gardens, also in Greenisland, a short time later.

“Two males exited the vehicle and made off through nearby gardens. One of the males was wearing a navy coloured long sleeved shirt with dark jeans and the other wore a white checked shirt with dark jeans.

“The vehicle has been seized by police and enquiries are currently ongoing to identify the two males.

“I would appeal to anyone with any information which could assist with our enquiries to contact police in Antrim on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
