Piri Piri opens at Leisureplex
Pepe’s Piri Piri, is owned by Kanta Group which operates a number of successful businesses in England.
Mr Chatwani, managing director of the group said: “I was very pleased to welcome the Minister, the Mayor and Elected Members of Lisburn City Council to Pepe’s Piri Piri and we have great hopes for the restaurant, where food can be eaten-in or taken out. My daughter, Leena will manage the business and we look forward to welcoming Lisburn customers. We were pleased that our first weekend was very busy. We also hope to open up further branches across Northern Ireland.”

Hide AdThe Mayor, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, was at the opening and said: “I would like to wish the proprietor, Mr Rashmi Chatwani and his family the Council’s best wishes for success.
“We are delighted that Pepe’s Piri Piri has come to Northern Ireland. Mr Chatwani is a successful UK businessman and very experienced in the hospitality sector.”
Alderman Paul Porter, Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee, said: “This offers something new to the Leisure Park’s food choice and something new for local residents. I am pleased that Minister Poots MLA, attended the opening and I am sure Mr Chatwani will do very well indeed. It is great to see his family involved and so supportive in this venture.”
Alderman Allan Ewart, Chairman of the Economic Development Committee, commented: “Getting new business into Lisburn and increasing its portfolio across different sectors is what our economic development efforts are all about. I am very impressed with Pepe’s Piri Piri and if the food I tasted is anything to go by there will be queues to get in. It was a pleasure to meet Rashmi and I am sure the restaurant will go from strength to strength with this enterprising family.”
