Local poet's work in '˜Best' anthology

Matthew Rice was born in Belfast, spending his early years in Rathcoole, then Islandmagee and Whitehead.

His poem ‘At the lights’ is one of those included in the publication, due for publication in March 2017.

Matthew’s poems have previously appeared in Connections, an anthology by the Community Arts Partnership and the Arts Council.

He was also recently shortlisted for the FSNI National Poetry Competition at Stormont.
