Carrick shoppers are being given the opportunity to use their vocal skills to raise funds for local charities next weekend.
Sainsbury’s Carrick branch will switch off all in-store music on December 14 and 15 to make way for local professional choirs, singing families, friends and regional groups including schools, charities, community clubs and hospices.
By taking part, the singers will have the option to raise cash for the store’s charity partner, Northern Ireland Children to Lapland Trust, or a local charity of their choice.
Sainsbury’s Carrickfergus deputy store manager David Sterrett said: “Everyone from the area is welcome to apply and we’re delighted to offer our customers the chance to help us spread the festivities in-store with some traditional Christmas classics.”
