Speaking out against thugs

FROM:- Lake Street Resident.

I was pleased to read your article in the Lurgan Mail where a resident spoke out against the thugs who are trying to take over the estate and surrounding area.

The people in Lurgan, both sides of the community, have had enough of gunmen and drug dealers, we had 30 years of it.

They have brought the area down to an all time low and 99.9% of the residents of north Lurgan do not want them, as they are hardworking law abiding citizens.

They talk about freedom what freedom does the bully boys and hooded youths give to people when they continually paint on the walls of residents' homes etc.

They have no right to destroy other people’s property, which they worked hard to purchase and maintain, probably if they had a job like some people they would not have the time.

They have very little support and should realise that they are not wanted in the area as they have nothing to contribute to society only death and destruction.

Everyone wants peace for their children and grandchildren not this nonsense.

Also I would point out about the state of the waste ground where the factory used to be.

They are supposed to be collecting for a bonfire but I have seen grown men in vans dumping everything, including furniture, an old oil tank, bits of steel etc.

Most of them are not from the area, why not dump the rubbish around their own homes and give the people of Lake Street some peace.
