Islandmagee Community Development Association is once again supporting the fair and will be on hand to discuss issues affecting Islandmagee and they will have their very popular local history books and cards depicting local scenes available.

This year, the fair is supporting NI Assistance Dogs which is a local charity who provide medical alert dogs mainly to people with unstable diabetes which can be potentially life threatening.

The dogs are trained to alert their owners to extreme high or low blood sugars allowing them to take medication or steps to prevent the situation. NI Assistance Dogs will have a table on the day giving information on their work and selling delicious jams and chutneys with all profits going to the charity.

To give visitors a chance to sit down and enjoy a cuppa Second Islandmagee Presbyterian Church is running a pop up tea room in the cafe area of the Gobbins Centre. For a donation, you can avail of tea/coffee and home baked scones and tray bakes from 11.00 to 3.00. The church team is raising funds for a youth summer outreach programme and all money raised will be used to help deliver this programme.

With free admittance, free car parking and use of the onsite children’s play park it’s a perfect way to spend Easter Saturday!
