Whitehead fire fighter Graham Ross is gearing up for a “Red Dress Run” next month.
Graham will swap his heavy duty work gear for a more feminine ensemble to take part in the colourful charity fun run at Stormont in February.
He is aiming to raise £500 and has launched a Just Giving page with donations for Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke which has organised the event.
Graham explained that he is planning to complete the ten kilometre circuit in memory of his dad Cameron who passed away last June.
Graham, who is a member of Whitehead Running Club, also plans to take part in the Larne Half-Marathon, later this year.
He is confident that he can complete the distance and does not believe that lining up in a dress and wig for the novel event will slow him.
For the Belfast fundraiser, he says that he is planning to complete the look with a leg wax and false eye lashes from Glam Hair and Beauty salon. in Whitehead.
“My final goal is to do a marathon.”
