Conservationist tohold public meeting

A public meeting will take place at Oakfield Community Centre, in Carrick, next Thursday evening (June 8), from 8.00 pm until 10.00 pm.

The meeting is being held to discuss the Bashforde Park Village development plan.

It is being organised by concerned local resident, Philip Allen, to consider the environmental implications for Bashfordsland Glen and surrounding area.

Mr. Allen is a member of Friends of Bashfordsland Wood. He has a longterm interest in nature conservation.

Three hundred new “high-end” homes are being planned for a 32.6 acre site on land between Red Fort Drive and Portsmouth Gardens.
