St Nicholas’ Primary School in Carrick will reopen at 12.30 pm this afternoon following strike action.

The half-day stoppage has been organised by the INTO teachers’ union.

Industrial action is being taken by the union over pay, job security and workload.

Gerry Murphy, INTO, said: “Schools across the north will be closed, or partially closed, as INTO members have come together to support each other in their campaign for a fair and just resolution to their pay claim for 2015/16.”
