Youths ‘smashed windows with hammer’ during Carrick incident

Police are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage that occurred in the Victoria Street area of Carrickfergus on Tuesday, October 4.

Sometime between 8pm and 8.10pm, it is reported that four youths smashed all the windows of a parked car with a hammer.

The youths then made off on bicycles and headed in the direction of the Castlemara estate.

Constable McBride said: “I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact Larne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1200 of 04/10/16.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
