Appeal for witnesses after sexual assault on teenager

Police say that the attack took place at around 1.00 am in an area known locally as ‘Bluefield Lane’ in the vicinity of Prince Andrew Way.

The suspect is believed to be in his early 20s, of muscular build and was wearing a dark hooded top and track bottoms.

Sergeant Michelle O’Neill said: “We are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area during the early hours of today and who may have witnessed anything to contact police in Larne by calling 101, quoting reference 96 of the 28/07/17. Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
