Carrick Rangers Colts will be hosting the Grand Vermeil medal on October 29.

The prestigious award was given to Northern Ireland fans by the Mayor of Paris for their exemplary sportsmanship during Euro 2016.

Regarded as Paris’s highest honour, it is awarded to cultural, sporting and political figures.

Carrick Rangers Colts will be hosting the medal in conjunction with the Amalgamation of NI Supporters Clubs, said the club’s Gary Swann.

“It was suggested by one of our coaches after they saw it on social media; a few other clubs have already done it,” he added.

The event will take place at the Swift complex, Carrickfergus on Saturday, October 29 at 1:30pm.
