Central Primary School’s ‘fantastic support’ for Big Pedal

Carrickfergus Central Primary School participated in the ‘Big Pedal’ for the first time this year.

Organised by Sustrans, the initiative inspires pupils, staff and parents to choose two wheels instead of four for their journey to school.

Carrickfergus Central Primary said it was pleased to see many pupils and parents cycling to school to support the event.

A statement from the school added: “They had an overall percentage of 64% which was a fantastic amount. Carrickfergus Central was placed fourth in Northern Ireland and 15th out of 118 schools who participated in the UK.”
