The opportunity arose for Christopher Madden through his membership of the Ambassadors Young Leaders UK Programme.

Christopher, a past pupil of Ulidia Integrated College, explained: “I was selected to be on that through my work with the Integrated Education Fund. We were invited to hear Obama speak in London on Saturday.

“The whole thing was electrifying. It encouraged me to keep up my commitments to building a more inclusive Northern Ireland, particularly in terms of integrated education.”

Mr Obama was speaking to students and young leaders at the Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster.
