Health trust term extension for Carrickfergus director

A Carrick man has had his term as a non-executive director of the Northern Health and Care Trust extended for a further 12 months.

Jim Moore was first appointed to the trust in 2007. The extension period, one of a number announced by Health Minister Michelle O’Neill, is until March 31, 2017

Health trusts are responsible for the delivery of health and care services and for the ownership and management of hospitals and other establishments and facilities

Professional head of signaling and telecoms for NI Railways, Mr Moore was previously operations manager at Richardson’s Fertiliser Industries. He is also a director of Sentinus, a charity promoting training in science, engineering and maths in schools.

The extension carries a time commitment of one day per week and attracts an annual remuneration of £7,960.
