The former Belfast High School pupil has won an Excellent in Placement Award.

During a one-year placement at Airbus, Carolynne focussed on a CSR project called Reading Buddies and Number Partners which involved employees volunteering to help local school children develop better numeracy and reading skills.

Carolynnes’ task was to review the scheme from both the schools and employee perspective with a view to removing banners to participation and increasing the numbers involved.

The initiatives she introduced more than doubled the number of employees volunteering and feedback from schools was extremely positive.

Congratulating Carolynn, Professor Gillian Armstrong, University Business School said, “Carolynne is an excellent example of the calibre of the over 400 undergraduate students the Ulster University Business School place annually in local, national and international companies.
