The deadline for nominations for the 2017 Carrickfergus Business Awards - hosted by the Times - has now closed.

Over the next week, an independent panel of judges will be carefully going through each of the entries in the various categories and giving each of them points to determine a shortlist of entries.

The final winners will be revealed on the night of the gala awards ceremony - Thursday, April 27 at the Belfast Loughshore Hotel in Carrick.

However, there are two very special categories that will only be judged by you, our readers!

The winners of the Readers’ Favourite Eating Establishment and Best Customer Service categories will be decided only by readers.

With a healthy number of entries for each of these two categories, it really is an exciting opportunity for you to give your favourite local businesses the praise they deserve.
