Budding young entrepreneurs from Carrickfergus have been putting their business skill to the test.

Carrickfergus Grammar School pupils participated in a Young Enterprise Northern Ireland Project Business event as the last term drew to a conclusion.

The programme was described by the school as “a dynamic and eye opening experience for students” as they took on the role of a small business for the day.

Project Business brings the world of business and enterprise to life by engaging 13-14 year old students through a series of interactive tasks including: business investment, market research, public relations, supply and demand, job roles and responsibilities, recruitment and interviews and environmental and social impact.

The half-day seminar was delivered by a Young Enterprise NI training officer alongside a trained business volunteer.
