An East Antrim tool manufacturer and injection moulding company is hoping to increase its export base at the Farnborough International Airshow.

IPC Mouglings, based at Kilroot Business Park in Carrickfergus, will be joining some of the world’s leading aerospace firms at the event.

Taking place in Farnborough, Hampshire from July 11-17, the show will have more than 1,500 exhibitors from 39 countries, with IPC exhibiting at the Northern Ireland stand.

The show’s features include the world famous flying display that showcases the most advanced commercial and military aircraft along with various zones highlighting space, UAS and innovation.

In addition to a full events programme, traders will also take advantage of the meet-the-buyer programme and delegations programme.

IPC supplies engineering solutions and high performance plastic components predominantly to the aircraft interiors industry.

This is the first time IPC will travel to the leading industry expo as part of a targeted drive to increase its export base.

Speaking ahead of the show, Joanne Liddle, managing director at IPC stated: “This is a huge step for IPC Mouldings. Although we’re a relatively small company we compete on a global scale.

“It is fitting that we therefore stand alongside some of the very best in the aerospace sector at this world class international air show.

“It also highlights how good our quality products are. Thanks also to ADS NI and Invest NI for their continued help and support.”

IPC offers a wide range of skills and services from initial input on the detail of required components, tool design and manufacture through to quality assurance and packing. IPC offers businesses rapid custom precision moulding with their state-of-the-art machining capabilities.

Meanwhile, the firm was named Manufacturer of the Year at the First Trust Business Eye Small Business Awards on June 2.

Sponsored by Forde May Consulting, the awards recognised companies with strong leadership and direction, growth and expansion in export markets, a commitment to innovation and R&D along with superior customer care.
