Vandalism at local churches

POLICE are investigating an incident of criminal damage at two Carrickfergus churches.
The caretaker of a church Minorca Place arrived on Monday morning (November 16) to find a brick had been thrown through the window of the premises.

The vandalism may have occurred at any time between November 13 and the time at which the damage wa
s discovered.

During the same period, youths were reported to have set fire to a bin at the rear of Carrickfergus Elim Church at Northlands. This incident occurred at 9.37pm on November 14.

A further two cases of suspected criminal damage in Carrickfergus are under investigation.

PSNI officers investigating a report of noise from a vacant house at St Bride’s Street shortly after midnight last Tuesday (November 10) found a window had been broken to the rear of the property.

A boat at Carrickfergus Marina was reported to have been badly damaged at 1.00pm the following day.

On Friday (November 13), police were told a barrier at a car park at Irish Quarter South had been damaged by passing youths.
