Thieves strike during prayers

A MOBILE telephone has been stolen from a place of worship in Carrickfergus.
The phone was taken a handbag in the hallway of premises at Governors Place between 7.00 and 9.00pm on Sunday (January 24).

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with thefts at a Minorca Place supermarket. Electrical goods were stolen on January 25, 26 and 28. The suspect has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are also investigating two burglaries in the space of 24 hours. A house at Bashfordlands was broken into overnight between January 27 and 28, while cash, a mobile phone and a watch were taken from a house at McKeens Green between 5.30 and 7.30pm on January 28.
