Police investigate fire

A FIRE at a house in the Sunnylands estate is being treated as arson.
A bin was placed against a fence and gate in the Sunnylands Avenue area and set alight in the early hours of Friday morning (June 26), causing minor damage but no injuries.

Police are still working to determine a motive.

Also on Friday morning, vandals were found to have damaged a fence, greenhouse frame and windows in the Victoria Road area.

The damage is expected to cost several hundred pounds to repair.
