Accused of murder

A FORMER policeman from Carrick accused of committing a murder 20 years ago has been remanded in custody.
Kenneth Mark McConnell, 58, from Prospect Downs, appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday (January 29) charged with the murder of 80-year-old Annabella Symington in south Belfast on October 31, 1989.

The accused is due to appear again by video link on February 26.
